Manicuring

 

The NEWPORT SCHOOL OF HAIRDRESSING instructs and trains students to be qualified, licensed manicurists.

Our objective is to develop in each student sufficient knowledge, experience, skill and progress and make a contribution to the profession of Manicuring. We not only provide skill to the students but also we teach them knowledge of themselves and the world around them. Also we prepare the students in order that they could pass successfully the examination of the state. And be able to enter employment in the world of Manicuring.

The primary objectives in training the student are: to teach the knowledge and procedures that include basic manicure, pedicure, hand massage techniques, artificial nails, nail art, nail wraps, sculpture nails, gels and overlay.

The manicuring course consists of 300 hours in the theory and practice of manicuring. The graduate may pursue a career as a Rhode Island Manicurist upon passing the examination for licensing.
